Introducing SeedGrid.com
Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:53PM What's a Hollywood Grid?
Hollywood's talent agencies maintain updated lists - called "talent grids" - of active film and television projects, and their respective job openings - known as "open assignments". This is how talent agents identify opportunities for their acting clients and how literary agents identify opportunities for their writer and director clients. We were inspired to create a new grid dedicated to social issue media.
What's Seed Grid?
Seed Grid is a listing of "open assignments" - some paid and some volunteer-based - for social issue media projects (online videos, PSAs, short films, documentaries, games-for-change, etc) that are looking for assistance from creative talent and business professionals in the entertainment industries of film, television, music, and gaming. If you are an entertainment professional or nonprofit looking to hire or recruit entertainment professionals for media projects, you can post to the list here: http://www.seedgrid.com/post-a-listing/. Postings are $25 and expire after 60 days.
Who publishes it?
It is published by The Hollywood Hill (www.hhill.org) for the benefit of the entertainment industry and The Hollywood Hill's members.
The Hollywood Hill also posts open assignments on Seed Grid for it's social change partner Armchair Revolutionary (www.armrev.org). These projects are tagged with the following image: "posted by The Hollywood Hill". You must be a member of The Hollywood Hill to work on these projects.
