Oscar Nom Congrats To Lawrence Bender

We'd like to congratulate The Hollywood Hill's Founding Advisory Board member Lawrence Bender on his Oscar Nomination for Producing Inglourious Basterds.  The film is a spectacular achievement and as Norman Lear sums up in Variety this week...

"I'm convinced that enjoying anything as much as I enjoyed my evening with Inglourious Basterds adds time to one's life.  So the half hour or so it takes me to write this is just a down payment on the week or so I owe Lawrence Bender.  Any guy who can produce "Reservoir Dogs" and 20 years later "Inglourious Basterds," with the likes of "Good Will Hunting" and "An Inconvenient Truth" among about 15 films in between, I could owe months to.  A consummation devoutly to be wished in any event.  Inglourious Basterds has to be Tarantino and Bender's masterwork, built on a remarkable longstanding partnership, a lot of trust and the combination of a superior imagination and executive skill."

His guidance and support for The Hollywood Hill has been invaluable since our early days and we hope he takes the Oscar!
